The Day Care Program works to improve the educational and economic conditions of working mothers, and the quality of life of the rural communities in the area by providing state licensed, full time day care services to families with children of the ages between 6 weeks and 12 years. The centers have the capacity to serve up to 250 children on a daily basis.
LRDA's Day Care Program also participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The main goal of this program is to insure that children participating in child care centers receive healthy snacks and meals while the child care providers receive training in nutrition. Children and provides learn about meal patterns and nutrition values.
